Counselling is more than talking: it is a process of transformation that is founded on the non-judgmental and confidential relationship of trust formed between client and counsellor. Every counsellor at Counselling and Wellbeing Scotland is a trained professional with the skills, experience and sensitivity to work with clients to create knowledge and understanding. Through the process of counseling, clients find clarity and discover new ways to think about themselves and their experiences. Counselling can help us all restore balance to our lives and make sense of our experiences, thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Counselling works best when both client and counsellor are committed to the weekly process that enables this relationship to develop. At Counselling & Wellbeing Scotland, counselling usually takes place once a week for 50 minutes in a comfortable and convenient location, or through one of our flexible online counselling or telephone counselling services. Counselling and Wellbeing Scotland adheres to British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists best practice guidelines for maintaining confidentiality, data management, and professional conduct - including Ethical Standards and Professional Accountability. Counsellors are committed to ongoing professional development and continually seek to improve service provision through ongoing professional development, regular independent supervision, client feedback and new developments in research and practice. |
