Counselling is an effective way to engage in personal development and growth.
Some clients come to counselling without a specific concern, problem or goal. Instead, they come to engage in/continue their personal development and learn to create and take advantage of new opportunities.
Personal development means different things to different people. Often, it means developing a deeper understanding of our motivations, patterns, thoughts and feelings in order to improve our present situation and wellbeing and to change things that no longer help us to live to our fullest potential.
Counselling helps in the process of personal growth and development through facilitation of this process of exploration and transformation of the Self. At Counselling and Wellbeing Scotland, counsellors are experienced in working with people as they navigate the often murky and tumultuous waters of their experience and being. Counsellors accompany, support and work closely with clients on their journeys towards greater understanding, clarity and acceptance, helping clients, also, to bring about any changes they aspire to.
New Directions and Opportunities
As we know, in life, little things count as much as big ones. New ideas, directions and opportunities can arise at the most unexpected moments, from unexpected sources. New opportunities arise frequently, but we don’t always notice or nurture them. Counselling gives us the chance to explore directions for growth and nurture ourselves to reach our full potential.
